Liminality
A mythological sensibility is the capacity to “read” the movement of spirit in the tangible world. – James Hollis
I often traverse the edges of reality and enter an imaginal realm of sacred time. As I move into this liminal realm of my surroundings, I hear the stories of the trees, lakes, plants and animals as surely as they can hear mine. I reenter this realm as I cross the threshold of my studio and begin to work. Weaving the narratives I hear within my heart together, with those I have encountered, I create images that speak to this transient experience.
