Floating Memory

SPRINGFIELD MUSEUM | SPRINGFIELD, OH | OCT – NOV 2001

In this exhibition, I delve into the realms of memory from four distinct angles: personal, ancestral, cultural, and mythic. Within the exhibit, you will encounter 12’ boat forms, painted paddles, and articles of clothing with hand sewn images upon them. My fascination lies in the concept of collective memory, where reimagined images and events play a pivotal role in shaping our understanding of family, community, and self.
